the storm moved over too fast to cause really severe damage like ivan did. The eye passed right over my town and all that happened during this storm for me, was my trailors front end lifting up about five feet, the settling back down. That's it. IVAN is a different story. Had six trees, all of which were horizontal by the storm's end. lol

A thought...Katrina was originally forecast to slam Florida...but it never took the right turn they forecasted. Just saying.

After what happened nine months earlier I was expecting this to be worse than it was. It wasn't an Ivan but thought it was going to be bad. It was like some normal rain storms we have.

Does anyone know exactly when TWC changed it's blue logo? This is from early summer 2005 with the older logo, and the coverage of Katrina I've seen has the new updated logo now being used.

It was on Aug. 15, 2005 when they changed to the blue logo..exactly 2 weeks before Katrina made landfall here.
