Some photographs from Keith Berry's site on Pbase. Really nostalgic pictures from 60's and 70's plus some recent ones of mine. Worth taking a look at http://www.pbase.com/beppuu

  • mr keith berry.....respect to you for uploading and sharing your memory with us....fab......and thank you!

  • @jaandil7

    Very Welcome indeed...

  • I don't think the Aston Cross photo at 1:47 is 1968.

The Ford Escort van and the Erdington bound bus look distinctly 1970's.

I read that Keith Berry died earlier this year in jan 2009. I am very sad to learn this. I hope his family know how important his photo's are.

  • Thank you for your comment, you may be correct, but I only go by the information supplied with the picture, which may be from Pbase Keith Berry or Nicklin.

I am shocked to hear Keith Berry had died. He was very helpful and polite to me when I asked if I could show his work on You Tube,I am sure he made comments on some of my vid's.

He even gave me advice or panoramic pictures.

  • i used to work in that hotel in smallbrook ringway called the albany in 1967-1969 happy memories i had there thanks

  • You are very welcome.

  • Anyone who's up for another get together. Meet at the Sack of Potatoes on the 4th June at 7:30. The more the merrier. I hope the venue suits. Not too difficult to get to. Most of you Duddy people must have tried one of your fist sessions there.

  • Really shows how much more aesthetic things looked then - even simple things like cars, street markings (lack of), shop-fronts, clothes etc. God, the council really ripped the heart out of Birmingham in the 1950s & 60s. Also, the places look much more English than they do now.

  • old city pictures are always interesting, what has changed is it the cars? the style of the buildings? the size of the buildings? peoples hair style? the clothing people wore?

  • Absolutely fabulous, he has captured memories that we did not have the chance to.....only in our minds. May he rest in peace. God bless you and thank and your family you for this legacy.

  • i love how little traffic was on the roads then...

  • Some great pictures thanks.
