Beg pardon, but do you have to do any modifications to this DMU to get it into the cabview/sound configuration you have it in? Or does it come "out of the box" as we see it here? More of a steam fellow myself, but classic diesel and electric engines/units are starting to grow on me.
At present time, I'm still quite active with MSTS, although I do have Train Simulator 2012/Railworks 3.

Great Video, quite like the way you've mastered the driving of a 1st gen unit!
You should also let the revs drop down before you change gear or you'll knacker the box!

Indeed that is what you should do, though bearing in mind this is a part simulated turorial for MSTS. Unfortunately dropping the revs won't work on a lot of the 1st Gen DMU's for MSTS, purley because Microsoft didn't think to actually simulate gears properly, which is a shame
