In this series of videos I wanted to let you hear some of the Registrations that come on a stock JP-80. All of these can be edited or created from scratch. These videos are just examples of some of the sound possiblities.

  • Have you ever thought of emulating what Duran Duran used? Especially with the song "Save a Prayer"?

  • @caddood Yeah, I'm probably gonna start trying to recreate alot of the classic synths sounds. I will probably also make them available for free download.

    Take care, -Ed.

  • Hey man, great performance with that great sound, congratulations. I have a question... If I switch from a registration to another meanwhile I'm playing, will I get a cutoff of the sound I'm playing between the change or I won't have a cutoff? Because if you use the live mode in the Fantom G and you want to switch from a tone to another you don't get the cutoff and the sound of the instrument you're playing stays between the change.

  • @DoctorRatio I don't think you'll hear the cutoff when you change Registrations, I'll check to make sure and let you know. Take care -Ed.

  • can you get the Duran = hungry like the wolf arpeggio on there? just wondering, thanks for posting these vids!

  • @DRstaszak Hello, Its on my list of things to do.

    Take care, -Ed.

  • @joyoussand EXACTLY. All the technology in the world cant help you if you have no imagination or creative talent. Just replicating yesteryear isnt good enough. A Jupiter 8, Emulator II even a DX7 MK 2 will do a better job everytime on recreating the 80S. What I want to hear is a NEW SOUND revolution. And no ones got it yet.

  • Hello Eddy, you may re-create famous sound ( jupiter 8 , moog etc.etc. )for fantom g and patches to download ..... it means that we can pay, just that the sounds are the same as the original

  • One thing bothers me here though. Why would you ever want to re-create some old classic? Isn't that like totally unoriginal and uninspiring? Don't we play keyboards to come up with something totally new and exciting? That's at least what I thought.

  • I would like to hear this patch without effect to see if I can hear any of the Jupiter 8 in it..

  • The one who disliked this video, is still waiting for his Kronos to boot up...

  • the single dislike is probably a disgruntled jupiter-8 owner

  • Ed, you gotta make a video showing how this keyboard can Intergrate with a DAW. I'm thinking about getting one.

  • @diazeo GOD BLESS YOU 4EVER, THANX. That's what i expect. But i am confused, what i meant when saying that the switching of sounds produce cutoffs in keyboards is the fact that in that transition it produces an abrupt cut of the sound that you have previous to the one you´re going to select, i don´t know if i was right on that.
