you have to turn on usb debugging: Applications/Settings/Applications/Development/USB debugging. at least on samsung i9100...

if your phone does not have the USB connected icon how can you sync??? I have the verizon lg ally. The icon does not apear but will hear the connection to the computer. HELP please....
