  • The originality in the moves and dance here and on FX back then, how high she was on her toes, everything...this epitomizes why i wish she'd never gone near Bela.

  • It's funny how back then they didn't cheer for there teamates

  • With his clout, he made her Olympic champion.

Gary Rafalowski, her first coach, know he could take her to the Olympics, but Karolyi made her more consistent, and pulled out her killer instinct to win.

I'm sure he felt shafted when Mary Lou left him.

  • When she fell I felt bad for her!

  • Front pike in 82 wowowow!

  • i never felt that karolyi did much for her

  • She was so much better back then. What did Karolyi do to her?

  • She should have kept that RO layout stepout in for the Olympics. The body wave is too funny. I had forgotten all about that move, which was in almost every routine back then.

  • I love seeing this for a former gymnast mom of this era it's great to show my kids what routines were like back then in the olden days -- love seeing mary lou. Great video, thanks for sharing!
