he was so skinny at 16. He increased his weight and his speed also increased. Proof that a certain amount of muscles is necessary to sustain top speed. It is now clear why those skinny Kenyans have never won the 100 m or 200 m race.

@Franckbery There have been some skinny 100m/200m runners. Bolt still isn't that big. Kim Collins won the 100m world championships and I remember hearing that he doesn't lift at all. Pietro Mennea, Tommie Smith, etc...Sprinting is a complex task, but the more power you can produce vs. your body weight is important. I think the biggest difference between Bolt here and now is technique. He has only improved ~1 second in the 200m since he was 16.
