CULTURE WARS: A cordial invitation

We are supposed to be a Representative Republic - but we are not functioning as one because 90% of the people are not picking the representatives - which leaves them to be picked by MONEY and power instead of the people. The people are the ones who have to be responsible for fixing the mess we are in.

Revolution is in the Constitution - we need to act on it -not discard it.

How does Jesus define adultery? According to Jesus, you are an adulterer. Do you own any possessions? Why? Didn't Jesus command you to give all your possessions to the poor and follow him? The law of God demands impossible perfection and christians who are anti-gay are so arrogant to think they are somehow morally acceptable to God and the gay person is not? Christ is the savior for all sinners. Those who experience forgiveness have absolute no authority to judge others.

But that's just it, God doesn't demand perfection because we are not perfect. And He loves us for our imperfections. You see God can't accept anything that isn't perfect, so in order to make a bridge between man and God we had to be made perfect. God did this through a sacrifice of His own Son. I'm sure you know all this by now, but my point is God doesn't demand perfection, he gives it.

I actually agree with you there, but I still disagree with you when you stated earlier that having same sex relations in equal to having sex with animals, If that is the case, having lust in the heart for someone of opposite sex is equal to having sex with a baby. Why is homsexual love between two consenting adults considered equally degrading as murder, incest, and rape? Because the Bible says so it not s sufficient answer. Why would a loving God make that conclusion?

Yes getting married is a choice for both str8 and gay couples, but being gay is not. A gay man could remain a virgin and celibate until the day he dies, but he would still be a gay man. I can't speak for lesbians since I am not one.

You know, it's easy. Just go to.... evilbible.c0m and all the info is there, and you can check it with your own Bible. Then, let me know if you're following all those rules, too!

I doubt I am following any of the rules God gave us all the time. I make mistakes, I sin, and so does everyone else. My interpretation of God's "rules" is that they are guidelines for us to TRY to be more Christ-like. But we can't be perfect on our own so we need God's forgiveness through Jesus. But it doesn't hurt to make moral decisions and not go sinning whenever it's convenient.

Christianity may have good elements to it, but it's NOT "God's Word". any rational person looking at it will see that, in context, the Bible is OK with rape, murder, slavery and forced marriages. there's no explaining it away. "God" has no TRUE rules against being gay. To do so would be counter to God's intent when God created gay people!
