This is a tutorial that some of you've asked for. It's acoustic version of my interpretation of Goo Goo Dolls' Iris which is based on tuning that I'm using in my old video. Enjoy!

  • I have little, to no experience on guitar, although I've wanted to learn for quite some time. I'm going away on holiday soon, and I'm gonna take my brother's guitar with me to learn on while I'm there for 2 weeks. My girlfriend wants me to learn this song for her... So from scratch, do you think this song is possible to learn in just over 2 weeks? My hands are quite flexible, I have a good sense of rhythm and I usually pick stuff up fairly quickly... What do you think?

  • @Seraphicblood779 Yes. With this tunning it is not difficult. Learn 3-4 patterns and just repeat them throughout the song.

  • You made a mistake on the virtual fretted tab. @ 1:45 You play ( 5X0030) But your fretted tab says to play (5X0003) which makes it sound like a jazz/blues chord. o_O

  • @maseofspades007 You're absolutely right. Looks like I've made it like that through whole song. It should be the way I actually play it - 5x0030.

    Well spotted. Thanks, Man.

  • Thank you :D

  • wow amazing,, bad for me i dont know how to tune in that kind of tuning.. plss help me

  • I love how clean you make this song >.<

  • Legend, this really helped man :)

  • Nice version. I don't fancy overloading my guitar either so this tuning is great for me. Thanks.

  • @Seraphicblood779 There is no short-cut to developing 'muscle-memory' - which is what is needed to learn any instrument. It takes months to strenghthen your fingertips, gain strength in your fore-arm muscle and develop hand-eye coordination. Try playing along to Creep with barre-chords for the almost mins. Great song for developing strength for your left-hand grip on the neck.

  • @RlNCE I thought it was possible, only I suck at chords... Meh, I've got plenty of time to learn, but thanks for the reply =]

  • Thanks, got it!! :)
