Yes, I know this is me drumming to more Kelly Clarkson songs. I played the whole album at http://jackieo652.magix.net/. I'd post them here but then this would be the KC channel. The reason for posting these 3 songs is because after finding out from my students that the videos (at my side site & website) are not viewable via their iPhones, due to flash technology, I had to resort to YouTube. So here we are --

Whyyawannabringmedown - looong title but FUN song. It may be THE most fun I've had playing a song yet. The riding on the toms and the clicking of the stix made this song a ton of FUN, not to mention a great workout too.

I Do Not Hook Up - There wasn't too much to change on this song so I kinda played it like the original drummer.

If I Can't Have You - The majority of this song uses the open/close technique (a typical dance beat) and that is not my favorite technique so whenever I feel a song is strong enough to take a change, I run with it. The changes I've made, which I consider pretty drastic, are going to be a love or hate. I don't think there will be any in between with this one but I wanted to challenge myself ... and that I did. That was a tough beat to maintain throughout the entire song. So, I kept the open/close technique subtle but made the Paramore-type rock beat more prominent.

There you have it - now maybe my students will be able to access these vids on their iPhones. Hope you like 'em.

Enjoy!

  • @kellybrianne1990 Thank you - glad you like it. I can't wait to play the entire album of Kelly's once it drops later this month. :)

  • you are incredible!!! how long have you been playing the drums? you inspire me to try and pick up an instrument! lol no joke...and Kelly clarkson is like the best everrr haha

  • Thank you - I've been playing since I was 4 yrs old. As a drum teacher, the biggest compliment you could give me is that I inspired you in some way. That's awesome you want to learn an instrument - I HIGHLY recommend it - you'll love it. Just be patient though, sometimes that's the hardest part. Good luck & if you choose the drums, feel free to hit me up w/ any questions you might have. :)

  • cool!!! :)

  • Wow!!!! One word amazing!! You also get a billion bonus points for playing KBC!

  • Have you sent Kelly a link to your video's doing the whole album ? She would be a fool not to fire her current drummer and add you to the band ! I hear she is PRO GIRL POWER ....... a female drummer would be great with her band . I know you are picky ....... but looks like that would be a dream gig for you too ! :) Anyway , loved the Kelly work .. it rocked !

  • I added a floor tom & splash cymbal onto a regular TD-6. That's probably where the confusion lies. I had a TD-7, which couldn't support those two add-ons. So, I got the TD-6 which could. TD-20's have all mesh pads & the snare is a bit different. That wld be awesome to get that kit however I don't have another $3,500+ for it. I'm glad you like my vids - they're a ton of fun to make, well, not so much the vids, but the music is fun. Got more coming - hope ya like them. :)

  • I thought that the TD-6 only had 6 channels, and it looks like you've got at least 9 going there. So I just assumed that you had a TD-12 or 20. Sorry. But great job on ALL of your videos, btw. And congratulations on sharing your knowledge and skills through teaching, (which does inspire others)!

  • Thank you so much for your compliment. Actually, the kit itself is a TD-6. If you're asking about the pads - the toms are PD 85's and the snare is a PD 105 ... I love em! :)
