Is the RPK a 7.62? OR is it a different caliber? I probably sound really stupid lol, but, yeah... And if it is the same cal, whats the main difference other than being a machine gun and not an assault rifle?
And for the record, I didnt learn anything from COD

@pangolin97 This particular RPK is a 7.62mm caliber. And there are a few differences between the regular old AK-47 and the RPK. The RPK has a longer barrel, a carry handle, a larger ammo capacity (bigger clip by 10 rounds), it has a bi-pod, and a different kind of butt stock. Other than that the rifles are identical, which is partly what the Russian military wanted; familiar parts and, mostly importantly, training.

@Bradley8787 So, then these models must be a very good design, right? Because Ive seen many different assault rifles FROM Russia that follow the same look, and the SMGs seem to follow Bullpup design, so does that mean the AK design is superior to the M16 specs?

@pangolin97 Many compare the AK and AR designs, but they are two different guns designed to do different things. The AK-47 design was made to be reliable, durable, and have a great deal of firepower, which is what the Russian military wanted. The M16 was designed to be accurate and shoot fast. Both guns were designed with the intent of fighting in Europe, but the Cold War proxy wars showed the flaws of the M16, hence why many like the AK better nowadays. All up to preference.
