    Okay so the level is balance but it appears that there height changes? Maybe its that the gravitaional pull changes the liquid to change direction? Or they changed the physical appearence of the earth and made a huge difference in what people see? Idk unless proffesional s irbtist check out the atmosphere or that area we will never know!

    this isn't an ignorant question. don't apologize. there are several possible explanations. one being that the ground is in fact not level, but the gravitational pull in that area is slightly slanted, perhaps caused by a large change in the earth's mass in two locations. this gives the impression that the ground is level, when in fact it isn't.
