Modern farming techniques have erased much of the habitat of the once-abundant northern bobwhite quail. University of Missouri Extension wildlife specialists and the Missouri Department of Conservation have developed techniques for integrating quail habitat management with modern agriculture at the MU Bradford research and Extension Center. Farmers and landowners who provide habitat for quail don't have to sacrifice productivity or spend a lot of money.
These quail are the cutest and most pleasent-sounding birds. I've seen them only in captivity, but it'd be nice to see them in the wild and thriving as well.
