. . . another fringe candidate getting more attention then he deserves. Basically Ron Paul is another idealist that envisions an utopian state that isn't going to come to pass. The idea looks good in principle but the amount of time it would take to implement is unrealistic. It is good to focus on the future and what "is" possible, but also look to the present and what needs to be and can be corrected now while following a realistic guide.

By a realistic guide you mean what? The Constitution perhaps. What do you mean by utopian state? If you mean the government stops taxing the hell out of everybody and people take responsibility for themselves locally how is this utopian. I foresee this being more chaotic and not an ideal whatsoever. And if being fringe means fighting off the shackles of serfdom well heck I guess I'm a fringe man. Other fringe men of note: THE SIGNERS OF THE CONSTITUTION. They thought differently didn't they?

A realistic guide would be slow improvements on what already exist rather then a drastic change.The idea that you can envision a new country from scratch or take what is here today and make it into what it was 200 years ago in one candidate is nothing more then a fantasy. Ron Paul is doing nothing more then every other politician and feeding people what they want to hear covered in fancy rhetoric.
