In a world where broken promises are common place, when it counts most, there are people willing to help strangers because they gave their word. The essence of 'Everyday Heroes' is about these individuals keeping their promise -- to respond, regardless of who the person in need is or the unknown risks that may await the First Responders.

Dave Carroll's hope is that 'Everyday Heroes' and the message contained within the song/video will be shared and enjoyed with anyone who might appreciate it. The website 911Song.com is dedicated to enhancing and supporting the lives of all First Responders and their families. It is a place where Dave Carroll hopes that a strong community of interest forms and comes back often to keep connected and engaged in supporting First Responders and their related organizations.

Please join the conversation at 911Song.com to share your own stories about First Responders and read the about the experiences of others.

  • This video still amazing even after all the times I've watched/listened. As I posted on FB (S.D. Jan. 9/12) I hope to be able to get to your concert here in SJ @ the Imperial Theatre on Feb. 10. Thank you for writing this song for the 'Earth Angels'/First responders. They don't get enough recognition for all they do, and being there for those who need them in their time of need (so they aren't alone). Just to be able to hear/see you do this song, will be enough for me!! Thank you Dave!!

  • @CanadianMs50 Thanks for being so kind. Hope you can make it to the show at Imperial Theatre.

  • I agree, the Canadian Flags on the gear should have been shown. How often do you see an American flag covered? They are proud of who they are, as should we be proud of who we are!

  • @trainboy1979 Just so you know, flags were covered to keep focus on First Responders and not favour one country or another. That being said they are evident on the uniforms in the kitchen and the Halifax logos are intact on the engine. Cheers!

  • I've never commented on anything on you tube before but I couldn't agree more - show that Canadian flag and be proud! Canadian song writer, Canadian song, Canadian emergency response crews. No American produced anything is going to cover up their flag thats for sure! Infact they would probably put extra ones in their just so we know that they are American. Anyways great song there Dave.

  • @brittanydsigsworth Thanks for the feedback Brittany. Just so you know, flags were covered to keep focus on First Responders and not favour one country or another. That being said they are evident on the uniforms in the kitchen and the Halifax logos are intact on the engine. Cheers!

  • @nomadiccanadian There Are FF EMT's (F)ire(F)ighter (E)mergency (M)edical (T)echnicians And Look At 0:36-0:38 Paramedics

  • @brittanydsigsworth Most American Fire Departments May Not Have The Countrys Flag On Their Turnout Gear

  • I really liked the song. I would have liked to see EMS given an equal place, but I can overlook that. This is a wonderful tribute to responders. It really makes me sad to see so many people focused on the issue of the flag, though. We are a family. It doesn't matter where we live or work...we are all family.

  • This is for every firefighter in the world

  • my uncle and dad do this every day one is a firefighter and one a paramedic i am so proud of my dad and uncle

  • @deltasafety2011

  • @nomadiccanadian yah it seems we're just part of the firefighters ;)
