So let me get this straight you are saying that being a firefighter isn't a dangerous job? In the 8 years i have been in ems. I have buried 4 friends. I have been kicked, hit, punched, bit, shot at and attempted to be stabbed. So please tell me how is it not a dangerous job?

If the whole "firefighters jobs aren't dangerous" speech is true. Which its not. The main reason might be because they are trained by the best and they work there ass off to keep safe. Plus,I haven't heard 1 firefighter complain about how dangerous his/her job is, only how many people they save. Unlike roofers, loggers, and all those other jobs you listed.

100 deaths per year is minuscule when you look at the bigger picture, 100 deaths per year is classed as very safe , trawler men lose that per month, roofers lose many more than that

On average there are 100 deaths a year and 71,000 injuries a year. How in the hell is it not dangerous? Have you ever been in a burning building. Have you been cutting a child out of a car with traffic flying past you and lightening striking around you? Have you? No probably not, so keep your fucking mouth shut dumbass,

i like that what you said to him. I know how sad ur job is. Im a 17 year ol girl that for 3 or 4 years now i want to become a firefighter. I went with paramedics, and with fire departmets where i used to live. When i hear that litte beeper go off i think to myself what am i gettin into. Or how bad is someone injured. I helped two people and saved there lives when i went with the paramedics. i know how u feel.
