  • Another comparison: the Charlotte Church version done when she was 15 - see it on YouTube (not the upload with the lyrics, the other one). Spectacular, to be sure, with the orchestra behind her, but with a different feeling than Lisa Kelly's interpretation here.

  • @100DiddlySquatxx Actually, Orla did sing it live on her DVD "My Land", as a medley with Shenandoah. It is also the final track on her first solo album "Orla: The Water Is Wide".

  • @1sorryham But I like Orla's version 10x better. I understand that every singer is different, but I think that Orla's is the best, and this version to maybe too upbeat. Orla's cover of this song is by far my favorite.

  • Lisa Kelly is phenomenal. Her voice is so beautiful and uplifting. This is my favorite song on the Believe album.

  • @100DiddlySquatxx Each version (including Chloe's original solo version) is different as each artist is *different* and not necessarily better. I do like this version, as it is a little more upbeat than the others. However, I like the earlier version that had all three Celtic Woman vocalists doing it together probably the best.

  • @100DiddlySquatxx I stand corrected, I have never heard her version.

  • Music that makes me smile even when I'm absolutely miserable. Thank you, Lisa and Mairead. :)

  • @erhea13 No, she didn't sing it live, I'm talking about on her solo CD

  • @erhea13 BTW I obviously cannot spell . . . I meant Carrickfergus

  • @100DiddlySquatxx I don't remember Orla singing this song . . . you may be thinking of Cirrickfergus which has a similar beginning but is a completely different song.
