Everyone interprets differently and Yes, Gotye sure Is a beautiful writer of this song.That's the beauty of music. no one person will interpret it exactly the same.I loved the line"there's always something that I've done" because I've been in relationships where ppl refuse to own up to their actions and play mind games and dont even realize it. This is like the decora-indie-punk version.

Ah... I don't like it. I don't dislike it, exactly, but I think the original has every word in it for a reason. I was able to accept the stylistic differences until you cut the second half of the second verse, because I think that cuts a LOT of the story.
