@MtGJoe the reason for flicking the card, Starkums is that it is to make sure you are not drawing more than one card card. even with sleeves, you can get 2 cards. Making play errors such as picking up two cards by not flicking will result in you being a bad player. Also folding your hand like the mannor they do here, is to not give information. say you keep a hand of 7 cards, and every time you draw a card playing it from ur draw as a land will tell your opponent the # of lands in your hand

@MtGJoe I could.

@LordSageMirentus this is just hilariously incorrect on multiple accounts, not that I could tell you what the generalization of "Pros" supposedly plays like.

i agree i cringe when i see people snapping expensive cards and do that shuffe with the cards till they come bak to same card, kids do when they have alot of cards in hand its so annoying. it does nothing and its just a bad habit.

the dude on the right thinks hes cool drawing his cards wierd and snapping em

@WhillisReed They are trying to look like Pros by playing ridiculously fast and slamming everything down. Pros don't play like that guys.
This reminds me of when I was younger and imitating NFL players in my backyard with friends.
You guys have picked up on some bad habits of other players, resulting in you both looking really cheesy while you play; it's not making you better players.

@starkums What do you mean by this? Who cares if I look "cheesy" while I play? The point of flicking the cards when you are drawing them or when they're in your hand is two-fold. It is a habit to be sure, but habits are good when you play magic. You want to give away as little information as possible and by doing the same thing every time you are less readable. flicking the cards also helps me think about everything. i can move cards to the front and back and am able to take everything into

account appropriately. Simply put, yes, it does make me a better player.
