  • i might be getting this for the holidays in december, would this be a good purchase? i want to use it as my main computer on a 32" hdtv, do the heavy appstore apps run ok on it? if its not strong enough, would it tell me before i purchase the app or would it download and crash?

  • @mccartney2k9 Yes good purchase, and apps run OK on it too. The last question I think it is up to you to research first, before you buy.

  • Thanks for the quick reply. Is it true they don't have a disk drive? Do apple sell their own external one?

  • @ijase87 It is true, Apple do sell their own one, or you can buy a lot cheaper one from Amazon.

  • Hi Dave, I've just reserved one of these from my local apple store but the entry level version. Are they still quick for day today tasks, such as iTunes , email , YouTube etc etc....

  • @ijase87 Yes it is fine for that and a whole lot more.

  • I purchased this computer shortly after first viewing this video last year, and i love it.. Thank you Dave for all your great tech coverage!

  • Hi i want to ask you how this mini work with the Aperture 3 and Full HD editing??? Thanks

  • Need urgent advice!

Does the 2.5GHz Dual-Core i5 model blitz day to day tasks like running office for mac 11', youtube and internet browsing, iCal, iMovie etc? (No serious video editing or photoshop)

I feel inclined to upgrade it to the i7, but would that bottle neck with the standard 5400RPM HDD and 4GB ram?

If I got the i7, with the standard 5400RPM HDD and upgraded the ram later to 6 or 8GB would it still bottleneck?

Will this model be a good machine in the years to come?

    THANKS MATE :D

  • Considering getting this as my main data computer hub so that I can put a SSD in my MBP and not worry about not having much space.
