@nickdc1 its recorded live directly from the mix desk. u can't expect much crowd noise when the instruments are being used as they are being recorded directly where the crowd are not....
-
@nickdc1 i see what ur saying but i get the sense of it being live. if u wanna see a 'live' performance with the most ridiculous amount of editing, check out bon jovi's lost highway live dvd

@sergeantfan You misunderstand, its the sound quality, its too perfect if anything and no sense of crowd. For a live performance you want the sound a little distant as if coming from the arena's speakers, and mixed in with the atmosphere of the crowd.
Live albums sometimes try and con the listener by having a constant live noise edited in... like Cold Play's live album, or The Who's -Who's Last album which is dreadful. Its a tricky mix... but hey, love this band.

@nickdc1 What do you mean no sense of it being live? It's an absolute gem of a song and perhaps the best song Idlewild has ever written. Why shouldn't they play it live?

Good video, but no sence of it being live... but good live band non the less

Amazing band. Why this song wasn't a hit in the States is beyond me. Same goes for No Emotion. I hope they tour here again
