I cannot thank you enough, Gicandido, for post "Educating Rita". The movie enabled me to reframe my life from failed professor to one of a professor who aimed too high: to help end the unspeakable cruelty of economic sanctions which killed no less than 500,000 children in Iraq. An act which the US committed solely for financial gain & in the process outraged not merely the mute earth but has produced a horror will will hasten the collapse of the empires of the US and its running lackey dogs.

I loved this movie when it first came out. Now that I'm back in school, the story resounds more than ever. How can I thank you enough for reminding me why, in my sixth decade, I'm drafting papers, memorizing into the night and even taking out student loans. I'm finding that better song to sing. My song.
