The orange is Carbon and the Seafoam green is Chlorine. As written in the title, this is a vague idea of how resonance occurs in benzene molecules. For a molecule like this, it would have an IUPAC name of "1,3,5 Cyclohexatriene" as well as "2,4,6 Cyclohexatriene". The double bonds are given the lowest possible numbers. For special molecules like this, where there are multiple names for the same molecule (due to the change of location of double bonds), this process is called resonance.   • "vague" ≠ wrong.

  • That's why it's called a "Vague" idea. If you look at the video response, that has pi-bonds and electron clouds.
