NEW YORK (WKRC) -- The 87th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade got off the ground Thursday despite the weather. Gusty winds threatened to ground some of the country's most recognizable balloons, including Snoopy, Spongebob Squarepants, and Spider-man. Early Thursday morning, parade organizers gave them the all-clear to fly over Manhattan.''This year, students from the Lakota West Marching Band marched and performed in the parade. The parade started in 1924 and has been a Thanksgiving tradition ever since.
