In this video, I'll demonstrate how to assemble and use the hornady hand priming tool with .223 Remington brass. For free HD reloading videos and resources see www.ultimatereloader.com
Very good video, I recently bought this priming tool. I like that it uses the shell-holders that I already have for all the calibers that I load. This tool gives much better "feel" in seating a primer and is much quicker than using the press.
I use Lee Loaders for various calibers...have had 3 primers explode in @ 1000 rounds... a larger problem is the primer powder bouncing out of the primer cup, if I hit the case too hard, resulting in a dud round....but only with .38....
Good video, helped me to get started. But since I am the cautious type I would recommend to hold the priming tool rotated by 180 degrees and point the shell opening away from my face. If a primer should fire while beeing seated, the blast goes towards the wall, and not into your face.
