The Our Lady of the Rosary Church in San Diego's Little Italy neighborhood is the spiritual home of the Sicilian American community. The traditions of Sicily are still carried out each year in the streets of San Diego's Little Italy community. The Sicilian Festival, held each year in May, is a nationally-acclaimed event that celebrates the traditions brought to the shores of San Diego from Sicilian immigrants beginning in the early 1900's. They continue to this day.
