The exercise he just did there was in fact a tricep press down; although there is no aparent motion, there is motion at the microscopic level. The movement is ever so tiny, but its there, and it works the muscles. In true isometrics there is no movement at all, the muscles just statically tense against an immovable surface.
@monstermmuscle damn, replying to a year old comment, but here goes; the Atlas course doesn't come with a rubber band dude, nor does the website offer it. It does sell vitamins though.
He was 79 years old when he died in 1972!
