Sam tells her husband Darrin that she is going to have a baby. This is right after Sam changes Darrin back into himself after Aunt Clara inadvertently turns him into a Chimpanzee. so he is really angry and tells her 'It's Through!' But he comes good, so it's okay.

I love this scene!

From 'Alias Darrin Stephens' series 2

  • i remember watching this show. it was magical! (in more ways than one). i love watching dvds of it and reruns to this day. I just loved Liz and Aunt Clara

  • Does anyone notice that Jim Carey kind of looks like Dick York? He'd be perfect to play Darrin, if there was a remake. :)

  • @NFitalianGuy The first actor resigned from his hospital bed. He had a back injury before doing the tv series.

  • i miss this show and i wasn't even born when this show was on and cancelled!!

  • @Sheri451 She wasn't drinking alcohol. In an interview Elizabeth Montgomery said that if she drank even a glass of wine she wasn't able to twitch so she never drank on set..

  • @Sheri451 the doc's used to think a drink or two was ok. and generally in the 2nd and 3rd trimester, it is. if the mother is having uterine irritability, doc's often reccomend a drink or two. years ago, if women were having preterm labor, they used to give them iv alcohol drips. and they would be drunker than hell. my doc told me to drink a beer or a glass of wine, during my last trimester with my youngest. he's 12.

  • I loved Bewitched, the only thing I didn't like about these episodes was Samantha drinking alcohol when she was pregnant in real life. I guess back then they didn't know the dangers of fetal alcohol syndrome.

  • William Asher also directed the "I LOVE LUCY" episode in December 1952 where Lucy tells Ricky SHE'S having a baby, during his nightclub performance...I'm sure Asher must have remembered the sentiment involved and "moment of realization" on Desi Arnaz's face during that scene, when filming this one.

  • @JamJam2014 Well said JamJam, you are right, York really did a great job for the homeless. They said that the kisses between York's Darrin and Samantha were very frequent but When Sargent took over, fans didnt see them kiss as much or as passionately. I read that in the Bewitched Forever book, which is a great addition to owning the 8 seasons on DVD.. Herbie Palato is the author..

  • @NFitalianGuy I think she liked him... You can tell from when they switched that Liz and York had a lot more chemistry then Liz and Sargent. She wanted to move on with her life though... She thought it was better to look towards the future then to look back in the past.. I do really feel bad for York tho, but think of it, if he was never hurt, he prolly wouldn't have done as much for those charities. He said so himself.
