This song, a New Orleans funeral march, is a mainstay in the traditional dixieland jazz style and is always played fast.
I chose to cover Geoff Muldaur's slower treatment so it becomes a very intimate gospel song.
You can find the tablature to this song on a Homespun Tapes dvd called "Innovative Arrangements for American Blues/Roots Guitar" taught by Geoff Muldaur. I follow Geoff's arrangement closely but added a few personal touches here and there.
Key of D
tuning low to high DADGBE
I'm playing a mahogany Grand Concert OOO made by David Newton
Very much enjoyed in Australia.(Gold Coast). Great playing,Carl. (As usual) Regards.
