This is a DSLR, the only thing missing is the easy access to the settings. And yes it doesn't have a mirror and a view finder, but that is a great advance in technology. I recommend this camera.

I am so glad I got this camera on Tuesday. There was two left in stock for $379.95 on Amazon so I went for it. Now the camera is selling for $459 at the same site.

@7conlimon Well if you have a lot of interest in photography I would not recommend this camera to you sense there are not a lot of manual controls. It's basically a point and shoot camera with interchangeable lenses. You can easily find a dslr camera for the same price as this one that has all the manual controls.
Just do a google search of "buy sony nex 3" to find a store that sells it. :)

Great review. Question. I'm thinking of purchasing this camera. I'm hesitating because I'm not sure if I can transfer the HD 720p video from this camera to a DVD , to make home movies on burn them on a DVD... is that possible or will I need a Bluray burner? Or is there a way to convert the movies to make them fit on a DVD?
