Malaysian Tight curl on top, malaysian curl in the middle, and mongolian on the bottom. 3.5 26in mongolian, 3.5 24in malaysian curl, 3.5 malaysian tight curl
Items I use for curly weave:
Denman Brush, from Sallys, Target, etc.
Moisturizing Conditioner
John Freda Dream Curls, from Walmart, Target, CVS, etc
*Sulphate free Shampoo, Target has a great selection and i use it once a month
**Less is more with any virgin hair! Cowash(using just conditioner) your hair at least once a week. Your own hair survives off of the natural oils your body produces. Weaves need moisture, so by conditioning you will keep the hair in EXCELLENT shape. Also deep condition your virgin hair AT LEAST once a month to prevent matting, tangling, etc and to bring your extensions back to life.
The items I used to color the hair:
For the darker colors I used L'oreal Hi Color Red Hot & Red Fire(a lighter red)from Sallys, it's made for dark hair, I didn't leave it on long at all! And the color was awesome! I'm sure if I left it on longer it would've made the color brighter but it was my first time using this brand.
The other colors i used were Ion Color Brilliance, I use this everytime i color hair. It's AWESOME!!!
I used Jet Black, Light Burgandy Blonde which is a darker red, and Intense Red which I used after lightening the hair with Ion 30 developer. And the color came out great!
Color how-to
I used Loreal HiColor in Red Hot & Fire Red on the bottom layers of my hair. The Orange color is the Fire Red which is a more intense red, while the Red Hot is a darker red almost like Black Cherry when it's applied to your hair. These colors are meant to be used on only dark hair. These colors are awesome bc you dont have to use bleach to lighten the hair before applying.
I used the Red Hot on the longest length, 26in **I layed out a trash bag & lined all the hair that I wanted to color on it. I colored 3 bundles at a time so if you don't spread the whole bundle out & keep it bunched up like I did, make sure to flip the hair over so both sides will be colored**
Then I let all of the hair lay out for 20min & used a blow dryer on it for 5 min then washed it out.
***Once you wash out the color make sure to use a great moisturizing conditioner then follow up with a deep conditioner. I let the deep conditioner stay on for 45min-60min
For the 18in I lightened it with Ion 30 Developer and a lightening pack. And let it lighten until it was the color I was looking for. Then I applied the Ion Intense Red to my first two layers which is the brightest red out of all of my colors.
Then again I rinsed out the color, washed with conditioner, then deep conditioned for an hour.
HOPE THIS HELPS!!
did this color fade to a brown after you used it? I used this color on 2 different lace wigs i had from 2 different companies. when i went to look at them, the color faded to a brown...which i found weird b/c the hair wasnt colored before. I just wondered if it did that to anyone else

Hey Chanel how are you and baby bump lol! I hope your holidays were great. I got some malaysian curly hair as a Christmas gift (good right lol) Does having a closure make it easier to work with. I'm not used to this texture, I installed it for the holidays but I already took it out because it was a whole lot of hair and blending wasn't easier.

@TasteofTia If it doesn't blend with your hair I of course suggest a closure. It makes it a lot easier to deal with.
