seriously marines, calm down with the PI vs SD shit. its fine to poke fun at eachother. we do it all the time. but both MCRDs make marines. so calm down
-
@ssgtflo someones clueless
-
@XXwhoknowsXX81 completely agree
-
@ssgtflo .....we didn't have hills..and the sand fleas were pets....and the use of the word "retarded" is not allowed in the marines...because after war some will be that way...I was $th Battalion and it was a while back...in my thirties...I would love to show a "hollywood marine" how tough a female is...and out think out train and out smart them all...i want a challenge!
-
Video is stupid and unnecessary. As the country isn't divided enough with an idiot in the oval office we got to have Marines claiming there training is tougher than the others. San Diego is just as tough as PI....and I graduated from PI in 1993.

@ssgtflo ooh rah Devil dog
-
wow,REAL Marines at Parris island uh?..and you know this about san diego Marines how?..thats what i though pussy..Shut up about things you know nothing about asswipe

@XXwhoknowsXX81 Okay sure. I am not in so I don't have to be politically correct anymore. If a Marine is a Marine why are there no female grunts??? Yeah they can serve as supporting roles, but it's not the same. I respect most female Marines and the comment of 4th Battalion was meant as a joke so don't be all serious now.
Parris Island July of 1962. 1st Recruit Training Battalion.Wooden two story barracks right on the edge of a swamp leading to the Ocean. Always the blistering heat. That big parade ground with the Iwo Jima memorial. Close order drill & P.T. in stifling heat. The week of hell at the range, the long wearying march to Eliot's Beach, sweating out the final field inspection & drill competition. Why do I remember it as such a good time? Once a Marine, always a Marine. Semper Fi.

@fxo369 I remember that barracks well. We were on the front side and could see the grinder from the windows. I also watched a lot of graduations from there too.
