I say it so many times!
I heard about the embryonic zebra fish heart in a seminar. I wish I could find the videos that the presenter showed, but apparently he was so busy doing science that he forgot to discover youtube. The guy that gave the presentation is designing an artificial heart for humans that is inspired by the behavior of the embryonic zebra fish heart.

  • That was so cool! Your comparison to time was really interesting.

What I find amazing at the moment is a book I found on my dad's bookshelf the other day. It's "A Brief History of Time- From the Big Bang to Black Holes" by Stephen W. Hawking. Talk about mind blowing. He talks about insanely complicated physics in an understandable way. Not that it's easy to follow. At all. But even to me, a 15 year old who hasn't taken physics, it's completely awe-inspiring. I would definitely reccomend it.

  • @lidiluvu A brief history of time is definitely on my list of books to read - I need to get on that. It really is a amazing thing that Hawking of all people should be able to explain theoretical physics in such an approachable way. Despite the fact that he can hardly even communicate with the general public he has been able to explain his work in a way that the general public can understand - that's impressive.

  • You would make an excellent professor. Most people couldn't make learning about a tiny heart this intriguing, but your enthusiasm is contagious

  • @nirdefchains91 Thanks for the compliment. I actually heard about this in a seminar given by a professor who could my my presentation of the information look bland by comparison. - There some really smart people out there.

  • You leave me is awe once again. Great video.

Embryonic Zebra fish hearts aren't my favorite subject in the world but watching people being excited about something they are interested in makes me happy.

  • @chiquitabananaby thanks, the fact that you enjoy other people's excitement says a lot of good things about you.

  • I love the way in which we haphazardly create an analogies such as your zebra fish heart and time itself, and after doing so, we can learn more about one by studying the other, and come to realise that the analogy holds true in more ways than we originally intended. I find that amazing.

  • @justinhabit Haha, I'm sure it's amazing to some people.

  • @GamerBoy470 yeah, I probably oversold it a bit, but the video wouldn't have been as interesting if I hadn't. Rainforests and new life could both pown embryonic zebrafish hearts any day.
