Sunshine Kids has gone where no other car seat company has yet to go by releasing behind the scenes video footage crash test. In these test you will notice that the body of the "dummy" is completely contained, the head is totally protected and the neck is fully supported. Even with all the safety precausions they have taken to ensure your childs safety, it is chilling to watch what happens to a baby and childs body during a side impact collision. While side-impact events make up only 25% of all accidents, they account for a majority of the most severe injuries that occur.

  • People must realize that in real life, there is always pre-impact breaking which means the child's head is thrown forward via forward momentum, which leaves the head wings unable to protect the child. This crash test just shows the crash sled stopping directly on its side- it definitley won't be that slick in real life. In a rearfacing seat, the forward momentum would push the child farther in; this is why rear facing is so important and is so much safer. Of course, I do like this booster seat.

  • SO glad I ordered this booster for my precious daughter!
