Turbo has now been replaced, the car seems to run great, but I only drove it from my dealer back to the garage its now sitting in this winter.

This video is me sitting in a driveway waiting for someone and I notice a bunch of smoke, not a first, but I had my camera on me so I took a vid, Nice Blue Smoke.

  • god damn it, i've just noticed it 2 days ago, after installing a RP. now i have to take it off and take the car to the dealer. same story, didn't beat on it or nothing. this is so upsetting.

  • That sucks man, Ive heard though if you swap out the race pipe you wont see any smoke, that you actually collect moisture and the mixture of exhaust looks similar to this. So maybe it could just be related to that. They said they had a test for the turbo, but I dont think they do, they will just try to let it sit for a min and rev it. So Im not sure but best of luck if you do have bad seals.

  • I don't know how your gonna do that with 250hp? When i race cars like that i sometimes under estimate them and probbably wouldn't even down shift. thats why you think you always smoke Gs. That have over 300hp.

  • Ha, apparently it is something that is going to take you a while to conceive. Seeming the G35 weights about 400lbs more, has more horespower 1K rpms later, has 20Lbs less torque 2k rpms later. Honestly your a dumbass, just stop breathing, if you know how to...

  • look at that blue smoke! Were you gonna be in 50k? Ill tell ya on your 3rd turbo. The g35 just needs an exahust and it spank your ms3

  • G35s are nice, However you need a lot more than a damn exhaust, or an intake, or plenum spacer, cams blah blah blah to beat a Ms3. So when Im on my way to get grociers, or Better yet, when Im on my way home from buying a whole weeks worth, after I bought a 42in flat panel plasma, and picked my girlfriend up from the airport with luggage, I would STILL be able to smoke your ass, AND have a MODEL Laugh at you as you TRY to race me with your Artificial Cock. Save it for someone who cares kid ;)

  • @impreza22bbs so you are going to judge just a FEW MS3s with blown turbos and not question anything else about the vehicle whether it be the owners fault for beating on it and not letting it cool, or running too much boost or anything else, and instead just chalk it up to the entire mazda brand not being a good manufacturer?

Its not the truth, it is definitely biased.... I could say the exact same for subarus with their glass transmissions not being a good car either.....

  • That's fucked up,how many miles ?

  • @rotor13 It's ok not to know anything. I don't blame you for that.

  • @impreza22bbs not "pwnd"......

    you got trolled

  • @rotor13 Google mazda turbo tsb and see mazda acknowledged this problem. Yeah I guess you're right I guess they were so good mazda made a tsb about smoking after periods of idling. pwnd.

  • @impreza22bbs

I can also ask the local MazdaSpeed club full of MS3's, 6's, and Miatas and see how many MS3's had turbo issues...... not one of them, because i've known them when they all bought their cars.

But thats heresay because you wouldnt believe me anyway..... if the problem was so widespread like you make it seem..... how come mazda doesnt have a TSB recall instead of just fixing it under warranty?

But i guess all you young guys with turbo cars think the turbo will last forever

  • @impreza22bbs

My brother has a Gen1 speed 3 since new...... still on the stock turbo making 330hp/350tq on stock boost with a Cobb AP and exhaust and FMIC, 60k miles and not one issue... but he doesnt beat on the car every day. But he does rape it when hes challenged.

Keeps a regular maintenance schedule..... and the only major item he needed to replace ever was his tires.

  • @impreza22bbs

Turbo abuse - not driving easy the last few miles to your destination or letting car idle for a minute or two to cool turbo down to normal operating temps, hitting boost way too much, overboosting, boost creep, boost spikes, not changing engine oil and coolant regularly.... all abuse....

just because the abuse is in itself different, does not mean it is not abuse.

you can vouch for your forum buddies all you want, but they wont tell you how they drive the car, stock or modified

  • @impreza22bbs

just because the car is stock still doesnt prove your point..... merely compounds the ignorance that you cant have an open mind and let things be.

Abuse on a transmission is the exact same as abuse on a turbo..... keep dumping the clutch, mashing through the gears, missed shifts, grinding gears to find them, not changing the oil... all abuse.....

  • @rotor13 Few MS3's with blown turbo's? Go check out some of the message boards. There is more then a few. Hell I've known 4 guys with blown turbo's on MS3's. All of them were stock. I don't know why you're trying to deny a mazda issue. Also a horrible comparison between abuse on transmissions and abuse on a turbo. You kids crack me up.
