I constantly get non dog people talking about how "mean" im Iam to put my calm, sleeping, happy dog in a dog crate. Yeah. Theyre miserable. As this video shows.

Emma is training using almost entirely with positive reinforcement methods. All the behaviors you see are taught with food/praise/toys. But in this video I have NO food or toys in my hand. In fact I just stood up with the camera for this impromptu performance. She is participating in a FUN game WILLINGLY.
Positive reinforcement training is IMO "THE" way to get what you want from your dog and still have a relationship.

Emma is about 8 years old. She is a rescue and i've owned her less than two years. All these behaviors took about 5 mins to teach induvidually. Sorry about the jumpy camera. Also i mess up and give her a few funny cues (which are the couple spots she hesitates) its harder to look through a camera and give cues than i thought. All my fault. Not hers.
