we can argue semantics of "patriotism", but its pointless. i'll respect your definition of it, although i disagee. key word "RESPECT". Its ridiculous that you seem surprised people won't respect your idea of "art", when you dont't respect there views on the flag. don't tell me what the flag means to me. to you it is "just a symbol", but to me it is more. nothing you can say or do will change that. i'm not religious but i wouldnt stand on a bible to open dilouge. this "art" only insulted.

Anything against our country or the symbols we stand for is a form of terrorism. That's what the fuck I'm talking about. Anyone who has the indecency to tread on The American Flag is no better than a terrorist. And...the person who so called "created" this work of art and all who think this unpatriotic act was 'OK' should all be deported. If they think that little of this country they live in...they shouldn't be allowed here.

Since when is terrorism art?

Whydon't we juststop helping othercountries and then everyone around the world will be all pissedoff that we are notgetting involved. There are things that we could have done differently but everyone makes mistakes and that includes countries.Just because there are things that wehave done wrong does not mean that some were not right! If you think things should change then why don't you stop running you mouth online and go talk to you Senator or Congressman aboutthe things you think need to change.

yeah but if you look at the Liberty bell and bald eagles, both are protected under the law. Yes it is true that we did not fight for the flag its self but we fought for what the flag means, still it is true that there should be respect for what it stands for. In this cause it appears that there was none!
what the fuck are you talking about? That makes no sense, there is nothing about terrorism on here.

its all about the freedom of expression, contemporary art is protected under that right. So, if someone chooses to speak out about something using a nationalistic symbol then they are allowed to. My states congressmen don't care about these issues, so you should stop running your mouth online and do something that really matters. Oh by the way, the only reason the bald eagle is protected by law is because its endangered, not because its a symbol.
