@UnclePimmem Yes it is insidious because they do the same thing with the information that they receive from the government. There is no investigative journalism any more to sift through the govt. propaganda and look for the truth. They are not reporters but repeaters. Taken to the extreme, this is how you get "embedded" reporters in the military. Ironically, they wind up "in bed" with the Pentagon. That is the story here, not "laziness."

@1Dianne1 In proper english it is spelt with an S, we can't help it if the americans want to be independant :p

Firstly "pushing the envelope" is a common journalistic phrase, Secondly most news networks tend to report directly from official press releases as it's easier that way, and finally there was only about 4 maybe 5 independant networks there, most of the rest were affiliates of the others and they tend to write up a single script for all affiliates. Just the networks being laxy and using a common phrase tbh. It's amusing when put together like that but nothing unusual.

I like the part where they said Conan may be preparing to "push the envelope!"

@alh2k09 Ofcourse he can´t stop people talking shit. But Ron Paul wants a small government, that means lobbyism has no chance and the mainstream media is a big part of this whole big government idea. I´m not just talking about Conan O´Brien´s envelope issue. ;)

@1Dianne1 English, Canadian, Australian and some other people spell it with an "s:.

Great vid, but organization is spelled with a "z" and not an "s". Sorry

Love the second lady - Conein mayybeee able to passh the involupe....[what does that say??]
This is an example of on-air journalists reading verbatim from a PR supplied press release. Basically, they're simply being lazy.
That release could have come from Conan's network, the network's holding company, from his production company, or from O'Brien himself. It's not as insidious as it seems.

Well, all news outlets get their stories form the same sources and copy form each other. What do you expect?
