im only a pilot in training but that approach looked mighty steep, although fun lol. nice job.

Just the camera effect I think...You are right though, you have to come in a little steeper because there are some obstacles on the approach end that can look a little scary (telephone poles and wires)...I don't fly to Whiteman a lot but it is a fun little airport.
