The 6-Mic Mini Series was recorded and edited over the half-term using the following :).

Mixer - Behringer Xenyx 1204USB.

All Mics bar the two SM57's and the SM58 are borrowed of my friend Scott Watson, so a huge thanks goes to him for letting me borrow his stuff, he's also a really good drummer and hopefully he'll be putting some videos up soon, I'll put in a link if and when that happens, he's is also an awesome lead guitarist and plays in our band, check us out, we do payed gigs and theres a few videos of us up on youtube :) http://www.youtube.com/user/blackmariahofficial

Snare - Shure SM57, you can check positioning in the video :).

Bass Mic - Placed 2-3" away from the Reso.

Close Mics - 2 x Audio Technica Pro 25, placed in-between the 10" and 12" Toms, and one placed on the 16" Floor Tom

Overheads - Shure SM57 and a Shure SM58.

Any mixing/panning/EQing I do is on the Mixer mentioned above. Great little thing with a ton of features which I haven't come close to using yet :). I then compress the audio in Audacity (awesome free audio software).

The Kit:

Mapex M Birch in Black
Snare - 14 x 5.5
Toms - 10" 16"
Bass - 22 x 18

The 12" Tom I use is a Mapex Orion one I picked up for £50 at my local dealer, it's in Teal Burst, beautiful drum.

The Cymbals:

Hi-Hats - 14" Paiste Alpha Metal-Xs
Crash(s) - 16" Sabian APX - 17" Istanbul Sultan
Ride - 20" Paiste Giant Beat
Splash - 8" B8 Pro Splash

This is pretty sick dude; the only thing I would say is try sort the second tom out; seems a bit louder than everything else :) sweet cover though!

@graaannt Thanks for the kind words mate :). Aye it is a bit loud in this mix, in my latest videos the sounds really improved but thanks for being constructive and I'll make sure I watch out for it next time a record with this set up :).

Sounds great to me, we have some great mics that can help with those overheads if you're interested!  Love the multi-camera shoot, too, keep it up!
