This is my first tutorial about anything. This is a tutorial for how to make Second Life meshes. I am hoping that this kind of mesh will be supported by Second Life when It comes out. I do not know alot about it and am hoping like hell that this type of model is supported by SL. If anyone knows more or if this kind of mesh is supported or is going to be supported please drop me a line with more info on it. when i tried to upload it the mesh support viewer crashes on me.

Yes - your video was clear - (1) import image (2) curve trace by hand (3) create Mesh
Yes - so goal - make Mesh - in Blender
My comment was unambiguous - I use Blender (very good) but it's not easiest or fastest tool to make Curve. Blender - good for Mesh part of workflow
- Inkscape is free tool to create SVG (other free tools also available)
- SVG is not an image format - it is typically used for curves
- Blender can import SVG - to create Mesh

@OghamTheBold You do realize it's not an image I was creating, but a 3D mesh model?

Blender can import SVG etc.
I would prefer to use Inkscape to trace images - it is faster to use - then import result in to Blender
Blender is not fast for creating curves - same as Blender is not ideal for image creation
