some parts are WAYYY to light-weight and so un-rachmaninoff. interesting transcription though

some parts of this piece i wouldnt interpret into orchestra this way but nevertheless still very great work. seriously hope to see more orchestra versions around.

Interesting how this work as a piano piece and Rachmaninov's 2nd symphony both stand on their own as original works. But then when you orchestrate the Prelude, the similarity immediately comes to the surface.

this simply shows how brilliant the composition is. rachmaninov could get so much out of the piano.. amazing. the middle segment is really beautiful! I by the way think that the picture at 2.14 is really cool.
