  • Have you heard of a woman named Loretta LaRoche? She does lectures and writes books about using humor to deal with stress and irrational thoughts. ("The Western mind is constantly WAITING for displeasure to subside so that they can be HAPPY! I gained weight... I can't be happy 'till I lose it! I married you... I can't be happy 'till you leave! When you leave and I marry someone else, THEN I will be so happy!" Thoughts like that.) Here's her website... lorettalarocheDOTcom

  • @themirrorsofmymind I haven't but I'll definitely look her up. Thanks for the info.

  • I have some of those thoughts too. Especially the hating my life one. I do the mind read and fortune tell thinking all the time. I do the labeling and misleading sometimes too. :'(. Have you ever read the book "the Secret"? it talks about a similar way of thinking (more or less =])... that positive thought attracts positivity in your life.

  • @denialparade I downloaded the Secret audio book and listened to it last summer. I believe in Laws of Attraction. What did you learn from it?

  • @phunkybrats I also believe in the Laws of Attraction. It was a very positive way to look at life. I like that because I've been working on being more positive so I don't let myself get depressed.

  • Most questions in the World are gray, thats why they're hard. The answers to black and white questions are easy.
