The worlds-biggest(?) pressure-sensitive LCD graphic drawing surface!
The 'Exotiq' is made from a Wacom 12 x 19 Intuos3 and an LG 22" Lcd, sandwiched together. So really, it's a DIY wacom Cintiq, hence the name 'Exotiq'.
*Original credit, and copious thanks goes to Drew at bongofish.co.uk for making the first hacked $5 'DIY-tiq'.
Genius!
I cannot thank everyone on the forum who came before me and passed on their knowledge.and good humor,. But in recognition, here's me stepping up the state of the art :)

As for the stand/arm design: inspired by H.R.Giger's grotesque blend of organic and mechanical forms. A metamorphosis of insect, vertebrate, and carnivore forms give the imposing presence of a living manufactured beast of burden. Its sole purpose, to slave under my iron drawing pen!

  • That's because you didnt press start after the infamous Konami code :P.

  • It must run in your family to invent stuff.

  • Ya interesting, your tempting me to try make one LOL.

Currently I got Intuos A4 SE edition (came with airbrush and mouse as well as the normal pen) was quite a saving compaired to seperates, though I never use the mouse (not that good) and the airbrush is nice but the wheel is poor design and too sensitive and can't be calibrated (I think).

Hmm I'm tempted to try turning my A4 SE into a interactive dispaly A-Team style :D

Anyhow enjoy the creation and good luck on future endeavours.

  • Yeah, I agree wacom ownz the market

Wacom could do better with their designs, I've never even put my hands on a cintiq, so I can't say, but I've heard reports of poor craftsmanship.

Speaking of which... The tricky part of the DIY cintiq is crafting a case to hold the lcd screen ontop of and aligned with the wacom sensor. There's very little you must fabricate electronics wise. Mainly lengthening some wires. Generally be sure the ( - ) ground wire is attached between anything electrical
