Fox Behavior is unique. The father will hunt for the female while she is pregnant and will stay to help feed the kits in the den well after they are born. Once they strike out on their own, only then will he start another family with the vixen.

I love all animals, but foxes are my favourite.
Loved the film - they are such beautiful animals and so misunderstood.

Does the father fox stay in the burrow with his female mate and the cubs?

The adults move out while the cubs are still young, but do stay in the area to look after them.

Glad you enjoyed it. The adult fox is one of last year's cubs, so this is his first go at parenting. Seems to be enjoying it!
