  • Master He, I understand that light skill was one of the trademarks for Gong Baotian bagua...can you show more in your videos how to train the light skill such as the leaping practice. I know that it is not so practical now a days but it would be a skill I'd like to practice anyways. Thank you for spreading the art as I practice Gong Baotian style from the WZF branch and it is so nice to see different lines of GBT lineage...we can learn so much sharing so that the arts don't disappear

  • @mdub2000

It will be a big task to introduce QG practice, I'll put it in my mind, thanks.

  • Also...is there anything thing else i can use instead of a barrel??

Because its really hard for me to find a barrel nywwhere...-.-

  • it was difficult for me to find a traditional barrel also, you can use plastic one, but need to be twice bigger.

  • Hey! Practiced this one for a while, though not in the same way... there was a long set of instructions and guidelines I found and edited to make more clear and understandable, and then I e-mailed it to Sifu Wong Kiew Kit. Granted, many Shaolin practitioners deem him a little "eccentric" or "mystical" but I for one enjoy talking to him when I do about the theory of this technique, as well as just in general.

  • good try, you can write your experiences down to be a formal document.

  • He's practicing to be a cat burgler. lol

  • If one follows the exercises that hes doing in the video it will make one toned, but not muscular. Similar to a professional surfer.

As for the man not appearing muscular, I would agree with you, however lets not forget that the vast, vast majority of the strength comes from the legs. We can't see his legs because he's wearing pants. Plus this video is a show-piece of the EXERCISES not of the SKILL itself.

  • @AeroAstro On the contrary, parkour is the french modern version of qinggong. ;)

  • @Sick3ninVend3tta Dynamic tension exercises are the best

  • @developyourqi, "the best jumpers use tendon strength more than muscular strength, using the stretch and recoil of their connective tissue to power the jump"...

Hi developyourqi, What would you personally recommend for increasing tendon strength?.

  • Actually very impressive..I was skeptical at first.

  • @ShaolinKungFuUSA Weights!!

  • what did u tie on your legs for the jumps?
