Paul Washer, in one of the videos of him on youtube, talks about how the wife is told to take on the role of support, but the husband is stuck with making the tough decisions. Deliberating is not outside of the biblical context, but when it comes down to it and and agreement can't be made, it is the husbands decision. In many ways this is the more dangerous responsibility because if the decision is outside the will of God, the man is the one that has to account for that before Him.
