In which John discusses Stephenie Meyer's Twilight Saga in both its book and film form, discussing the Twilight phenomenon in a way that will surely anger both Twihards and the series' detractors, thus infuriating everyone and pleasing no one. Also discussed: vampires; Edward Cullen, his hotness; Jacob Black, his torso; romantic relationships, why adults shouldn't have them with teenagers; reading; books; and true love, a beautiful lie.

  • I turned up volume to try to hear what the Yeti was saying, but instead my entire floor ended up hearing "DO YOU NEED A MAN WHO CAN BENCHPRESS YOUR BODY WEIGHT IN ORDER TO FEEL WHOLE?"

  • “True love will triumph in the end, which may or may not be true, but if it’s a lie it’s the most beautiful lie we have.”

  • The only redeeming qualities to "Twilight" is the concept that true love will win out. In my opinion anyway. There are just so many things wrong with that book. The idea that females need a male to complete them. The necrophilia and beastiality. Her relationship with Jacob Black (true she told him she only loved Edward but her actions said the exact opposite). I just cannot wrap my mind around it really.

    HARRY POTTER FTW!

  • this had a very different vibe to nerimon reads twilight

  • 17 year old girl, actually....

  • don't worry, john, your puff is super sexier...plus it's made of awesome

  • DAT BEARD!!!!

  • I prefer John's puff to Edward's puff.

  • @saliri20 The vlogbrothers channel was initially established for John Green and his brother Hank to keep in touch with each other through video since they were living in different states, thus they talk as though speaking to each other instead of the audience.

  • hmmm. an interesting viewpoint on twilight. it doesn't seem quite as bad in that light.

  • I like them both, but if i had to choose one it would be HARRY POTTER!

  • @blondebunhead I totally agree!
