@kryptex09 When you merge social and economical structures, like in a Union, you are giving more power to the governing body. Besides you cannot seperate aspects such as culture and economy from one another. Why can nations not cooperate without having to sacrifice their soverignty and right to self rule? Thinking about the rest of the world in context to a nations own strength is a little out of date, don't you think? There are no real threats in this world other than a global agenda.

We don't need a president who's name is bigger than his deeds. We don't need someone who talks about his actions, but someone who will and can think about it. Van Rompuy can unite Europe with his calamity. And that's what we need to be significant against large Asian states or the US.

He's not charismatic but he's an honest and hardworking man. I much prefer some1 like him then some1 like Blair or Bush who maybe are more famous but are actually 100 times worse.
