ok they would not mention elvis at a memorial for world war 2 vets at pearl harbor he was not part of the war.

back in 1961, elvis presley performed 2 concerts at the block arena in hawaii that helped to pay for the construction of the arizona memorial, i wonder is there any mention of that on the site

The Ship's Radio Operator of the SS LURLINE (Luxury Cruise Ship out of Hawaii... other was the SS MATSONIA... both of MATSON NAVIGATION of HAWAII) monitored the Radio Messages from/to the IJN Attack Fleet and Tokyo, which were so powerful and sent so many times repeatedly, that he was able to easily DF (Direction Find) the IJN Fleet's location over a period of time (heading for HAWAII), and reported it to the US NAVY upon his returning back to port in Hawaii.
It was IGNORED.

Its such a big deal because the Arizona was the main target of the Japanese and was hit first oviously so they weren't so lucky to fight back as quick as other ships.

Also, a single bomb smashed through several decks landing in the Arizona's armory. Setting off all the shells aboard her. Pretty much killing all souls on board.

The USS Arizona Crew didn't get the opportunity to fire upon hardly any Japanese Fighter Planes at all. The reason being the crew the night before had engaged in a Island wide singing/band competition amongst the other ships and their crews and the Arizona crew just happen to win. With them being the winners they recieve the right to wake up a whole hour or half hour later than the other ship crews.Thats the reasoning behind why they couldn't shoot down any planes; most of them were asleep.
