Hot On The Trail reveals that there is more to the hunt than just the kill. Hunting goes beyond the instinct to provide for one's self. An aesthetic is involved in these traditions. Art, religion, relationships, you name it, hunting has influenced it. Hannah introduces a unique perspective, presenting the beauty that each culture brings to the hunt.
Each episode, Hannah interviews and works with a tribe, a cultural group, or a community of people who share the passion and labor of hunting. These people reveal the role of hunting in their society and the activities directly tied to the hunt. This TV series incorporates many different communities, including Alaskan Inuit tribes, high mountain communities in the rainforest of Papua New Guinea, Georgian locals, and Native tribes of Montana, right outside Hannah's backdoor.
